Local amenities are situated only 2 minutes walk away from Glenfern Guest House. The house itself is itself situated at the start of Loch Lomond, and close to the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The area of Balloch is set in idyllic and unspoilt beauty and spectacular scenery in Scotland.

There are many restaurants and pubs to try in the local areas of Dryman, Luss and Gaetocharn, and there are many heritage trails and other points of interest along these routes all acclaimed by the Scottish Tourist Board.
